Piedmont Hospital's Day of Dance at North Atlanta High School - February 28, 2009 - 9am-Noon.
The Wild Team was invited to perform and teach at the Atlanta location for the National Day of Dance for health. Rose taught the crowd Cut-a-Rug and Swinging Thing, and the team performed an exhibition of the "World" line dance routine.
The World routine is A collaboration of 3 line dances organized by one of the team's leaders, Jeff, resulting in a 4 wall, 128 count, line dance. It is sometimes performed contra resulting in lines weaving through each other!
This event featured not only line dancing opportunities, but also belly dance, ballroom dance, hip-hop, ballet, and jazz. various other activies were available as well, including healthy cooking classes and golf swing help. It was between the varied lessons in the dance room that the Wild Team kept the crowd moving! Calling out the steps and encouraging people onto the floor, there were quite a few willing to take on the challenge and ended up learning quite a few dances that day!
